Scoring and Prize-money: this is an aggregate/series competition. At the end of the series, we will pay:
- 1st to 3rd in each category based on overall aggregate score;
- Best Performing Unplaced Female Rider; and
- Most Improved Rider (based on the time differential between Races 2 and 4 in the series).
Points are awarded in each category for each race:
- 1st – 10pts;
- 2nd – 8pts;
- 3rd – 7pts
- 4th – 6 pts;
- 5th – 5 pts;
- 6th – 4 pts;
- 7th – 3 pts;
- 8th – 2 pts; and
- 9th – 1 pt.
Riders’ overall aggregate score will determine the series placings. The Best Performing Unplaced Female Rider prize will be decided by awarding, in each race, every female rider 10pts minus the number of whole minutes they finish behind the winner of the category in which they are competing (eg if a rider finishes 4 mins behind the category winner, they would receive 10 – 4 = 6 award pts). The winner of the Best Performing Unplaced Female prize is the rider with the highest aggregate award points. These points are only used to decide the women’s award and do not count towards the overall aggregate score.
Estimated prize money (depending on entries):
- 1st – $120 per category;
- 2nd – $80 per category;
- 3rd – $60 per category; and
- Best Performing Unplaced Female Rider – $40; and
- Most Improved Rider – $40.
